2/28/2023 0 Comments Windows phone tubecast![]() The developers will surely add more features in further updates of the app. Tube Cast is very simple and easy to use, just choose your Chromecast from the drop down list, search for a YouTube video, select the one you want to play, and play it on your TV. With Tube Cast, you can now send videos to Chromecast from Youtube via Windows Phone. Tube Cast does not offer many features but it is the first and only app to support Chromecast. However still, the Windows Phone developers managed to release the first Chromecast supporting app for Microsoft’s mobile platform. The SDK was specially for the Android and iOS developers. Few weeks ago, Google released the SDK for its Chromecast. But the developers for Windows Phone have never stopped and finally, the first app for Windows Phone supporting Chromecast is here. If you're tempted by the mention above, The Motors INSANELY great full length "Dancing the night away" is here.Chromecast was for no use for you till now if you are a Windows Phone user as there was no app available which let you to use your Windows Phone with Chromecast. scrubbing along) didn't work at all - the playback position would update on screen and then the video would carry on merrily from the previous position.Ĭlearly work to do then, but showing a lot of promise in today's world, where 'throwing' a video around onto different screens is expected functionality. You can download a trial version of Tubecast here and then buy it in-app after you've done 20 successful 'casts', which seems a very fair way of arranging things. Starting a video playing and tapping the cast icon restarted the video but up on the big screen - casting was working first time, with no issues! (right) the Tubecast PRO interface includes all the usual YouTube sections, handily tabbed down the right of results/lists. Here's a walkthrough of how Tubecast PRO works right now:Ī nice opening mini-tutorial, with a link to a full video walkthrough (right) first sighting of my Chromecast, even if the apostrophe character doesn't seem to travel well from Android/Chrome through to Windows Phone!
